According to a market survey by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Terre Haute, IN), software engineering related positions account for 40,000 jobs in the state of Indiana. All other engineering disciplines combined only account for 10,000 jobs in the state. The survey's sources included census data and company estimates. When (non-CSSE) Rose professors were presented with this data, jaws dropped. Now, where should the funding go? How about to expanding CSSE offerings...
